Approved!!!
After a great deal of patience, Apple has finally approved CraigSearch v1.1.3. In the process, we have become victim to many pitfalls found within the app store approval process.
Communication was clearly a big issue. In the end, it took three submissions and months of waiting before we received a clear understanding of what they wanted. The first submission was denied because Apple decided the Exotic Services and Personals sections were too racy for their standards. The second submission was denied because they could find posts containing stripper advertisements in other sections of the application. Since we could not move forward with our plans, we have succumbed to Apples wishes and finally gained approval.
Another issue is that Apple clearly has a double standard. Try searching for strippers or even porn in Safari. You will clearly find racy pictures more impressionable than anything in CraigSearch within seconds. You could also try downloading the Google application and search for strippers or porn. Similar to Safari, you will find all the racy content your heart desires within seconds.
So, why is Apple playing big brother with the little guys and not Google? Dumb question, I think we all know the answer. We just hope to see parental controls on the iPhone so we can bring back everything Craigslist has to offer.
